• Flat Steel Boning fer better durability n' shaping, not the plastic stays that break
• Front n’ back lacing fer a secure fit n' wider range of sizing, instead of the non-period zippers or busk. Comes with modesty panels
• Built strong enough ta reduce the waistline 4 ta 6 inches, others can only manage 2 ta 4 inches
• The back can be tie in the traditional back or for added lift it can be tie in the middle, the picture show the sample without the 5 eyelets in the back strap that will allow for a custom fit.
• The bodice is designed with a 8 inch difference between waist and bust, and 10 inch difference between waist and hips. (Don't order if you are very small breasted) not as much a 10 & 12 inch difference of a corset.
• This bodice is designed to be put on with an assistant (unless your very flexible n' skilled)

A bodice, historically, is an article of clothing for women, covering the body from the neck to the waist. In modern usage it typically refers to a specific type of upper garment common in Europe during the sixteenth to the eighteenth century. The bodice or corset is the most important piece of a wench's outfit. Buy this item first, then get everything else to match it. A bodice is like a corset with shoulder strapes. Generally bodices don't shape the torse like a corset, but arrr do. Bodice were originally designed to be worn over a corset. Arrr wench n' pirate bodice are designed to worn without the need fer a corset.
Tape measure your waist at its narrowest point (generally 2-3 inches above the belly button), then take 3-4 inches if you are new to wearing corset/bodice or have little body fat. Take 5-6 inches off if you are an experienced at wearing bodice or have plenty of body fat. Do not go off your clothes size.
Example: If you waist is 27 inches and you are an experienced corset wearer & have normal body fat, you should order a 22 inch corset. If unsure, order it smaller, as you do not have to lace it completely tight, as you have modesty panels in front and back - so skin will not be showing.
