Dread Pirate Signature Edition

The board game as heirloom. And Dread Pirate, packaged in a gorgeous, thick wooden treasure chest, with sturdy game pieces of metal and glass, has the quality to pull it off. The gold coins you will be competing for in the game have a satisfying heft to them, and clunk with authority when you drop them in a big pile. The game "board" is actually a sea map printed on heavy cloth (you will need a wide flat space to play, the cloth is about 2 by 3 feet), complete with archaic lettering and an authentic-looking sea-weathered appearance. As for the most important aspect, the game itself, its deceptively simple rules call for two to four players to sail around collecting treasure. The first to collect every type of treasure wins. But the possibility of mutiny, plunder, or some other type of disaster, keeps things interesting, and makes for plenty of strategic maneuverin.

Raiding Parties Card Game

This new pirate game just came out, yarrrr! Raiding Parties is a card game that takes place in the Golden Age. All of the artwork is by Don Maitz, who created the Captain Morgan Spiced Rum Logo. This is two games, the standard Raiding Party game which used two desks of cards. You can use the "Hit the Deck" as a regular playing card deck. The game play is similar to "Magic the Gathering" but using pirates. There are special collectable cards that will increase your game play. Game play time is 20 to 45 minutes. The game can be played with 2 to 4 pirates, but you will need another deck for more than 2 players.
